Do you enjoy bushwalks or are you just looking for a clean and spacious free campsite close to some of the Blue Mountains best lookouts?! Old Ford Reserve in the Megalong Valley offers all that. This free campsite has enough space for all types of campers and is well suited for families too. The campsite is just a short drive from Blackheath through the beautiful mountains and granite rich area on a narrow and windy road. A must-do for experienced bushwalkers is the nearby six foot track to Katoomba and Jenolan Caves via a historic horse route. Even when you are less experienced you can do small parts of it or try the 600m Rainforest walk nearby.

The campground is well maintained. It is spacious and has grassy sites for tents, camper trailers and vans/motorhomes. There are drop toilets, bbq fire rings and picnics benches. Rubbish bins are available too. It is situated next to a shallow river but at the moment signs advise against swimming because of health reasons.
